About the Designer

Hello! My name is Taylor Bower (he/him), and I'm a graphic designer based in Virginia. In 2025,  graduated with a BFA in Art and Visual Technology with a concentration in Graphic Design from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. My graphic design journey began in high school when I was accepted to the Digital Art and Design program at Chesterfield Career and Technical Center in Chesterfield, VA. In my two years there, I learned how to create designs in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, obtaining certifications for both. I have experience in typography, layout design, package design, UX/UI design, advertising design, and editorial design. I aspire to have a career that intertwines my passions and graphic design.

As a graphic designer, I value transparency and collaboration. I believe that designers should work closely with clients and establish an open line of communication to get the best results. I am inspired by my love of music and the environment around me.  Being a percussionist has shaped my view on design, as both require a sense of accuracy and uniformity while also being creative. I am surrounded by artistic and musical individuals, and they also influence my creativity.

When I'm not working, I can be found relaxing or working on side projects. I love listening to music while I work, and my favorite genres are big band, jazz, easy listening, funk, and soul. I also love to play video games, watch movies, cook, play word games, and watch basketball in my free time.
